Celebrate the Museum's Latest Book,
Greetings from Hoboken: A Postcard History

The exhibition has been extended by a month, and Museum members and the general public are invited to a reception on Sunday, August 3, from 2 5 p.m. to celebrate the arrival of the companion book, Greetings from Hoboken: A Postcard History, based on our current exhibition. All those who made a donation in support of the project will receive their hardcover copy of the book at the reception. A limited number of hardcover and extra copies of the softcover editions will be available for purchase as well ($35 / $25). The book was edited by Bob Foster, Museum Director and designed by McKevin Shaughnessy.

Nearly 400 of these brightly colored images are on display through Sunday, August 3, when the Museum welcomes donors and the general public with a reception from 2 5 p.m. for "Greetings from Hoboken: A Postcard History," the companion book to the exhibition of postcards from the Museum's own collections that presents a lively portrait of a booming young city, proud of its fine homes, new businesses and thriving shipping industry. The Museum's extensive collection derives primarily from donations and acquisitions from the collections of Director Robert Foster, Trustee Paul Neshamkin, and historian and Museum founder Jim Hans.

The exhibit, which will be on view through August 3, was made possible through a special project grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, as well as the generous support of our corporate donors, including Applied Companies, John Wiley & Sons, Lobato Floors, Otis Elevator, QualityPro Painters, Union Stone Cleaning & Restoration and Hufnagel Landscaping & Design. Admission to the reception is free.
