Historic Waterfront Signage Installed

This spring, the City of Hoboken installed along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway five new signs created by the Hoboken Historical Museum, funded in part by a generous grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services for our "Open River" program. The signs include images and brief histories of the great passenger ships, the railroad terminal, the exploits of Hoboken's founding family, the Stevenses, and much more. New Look for Website, Newsletter

We hope you’ve visited the Museum’s website lately and seen the new design, introduced in March of this year. We’d like to thank the New Jersey Cultural Trust for providing a special grant that enabled us to hire the team of talented designers at Carrie Chatterson Studio, www.carriechattersonstudio.com, who are based in Brooklyn but used to live in Hoboken. The group designed the Tenement Museum’s website, among other projects. In addition to the new design, the website now offers an online store where you can buy merchandise, t-shirts, renew your membership or buy tickets to our events.

And with the Summer issue, graphic designer Claire Lukacs debuts a fresh redesign of the Museum newsletter, which incorporates four-color printing and echoes a few elements of the website design as well.
