The Hoboken Historical Museum welcomes visitors 6 days a week in one of the oldest buildings on Hoboken’s waterfront, 1301 Hudson Street. Admission is just $5.

The Hoboken Museum’s exhibition space may be small, but it packs a lot of information into a series of creative exhibits interpreting different facets of Hoboken history, with a different exhibit every 12 – 18 months. In addition, we organize lectures, films, tours, family fun programs and more. Our education programs reach thousands of children each year. Many of our events are free, but donations are always appreciated. Many of our programs are now offered online, so please check our calendar page for details.

Our upper gallery hosts six exhibits per year by local and regional artists. We use interactive displays to expand our exhibit content and make it accessible to all visitors.

Our collections manager has digitized tens of thousands of items from our archives and past exhibits, all accessible online.

As an active community organization, we encourage you to get to know us and support us with an annual individual or family membership. We welcome volunteers to help us organize our special fundraising events, a great way to get to know people in town. Call 201-656-2240, or visit our website for more information.

Non-flash photography of our exhibits and programs is permitted for personal use.  Please feel free to tag us with #HobokenMuseum when sharing your photos on social media. At times, photographers and staff may be at work documenting museum activities. Your presence implies your consent to the Museum to use your likeness in educational and promotional uses. Please inform Museum staff if you prefer not to be photographed, or notify us in writing at info@hobokenmuseum.org.
