Be a part of Hoboken History: Help fund our 2022 initiatives!

We have continued to support local artists with six Upper Gallery exhibits, and we moved other art activities safely into the walkway with Kids arts & crafts (sponsored by Macy’s), a face mask-decorating contest, and the art of coffee with Richard Wright.

As you think about the organizations you love, we hope you’ll consider making a contribution to the Museum. In addition to ongoing school visits, film screenings, tours and lectures, the Museum plans to undertake these program initiatives and capital improvements:

  • Maritime Artist-in-Residence – local artist Frank Hanavan will offer regular programs on model shipbuilding, knot-tying, and maritime painting. His work is on display in the Upper Gallery through January 2.
  • New Audio-Visual Equipment – to enhance production quality in the Main Exhibit space and Shipyard Passageway, we will acquire a state-of-the-art video projector, upgraded screen and speakers.
  • Upgraded HVAC System – we will protect visitors, staff, and historic artifacts with an improved and quieter air circulation system.
  • Expanded Shipyard Passageway Activities – we will maximize use of our outdoor space by supporting local vendors, offering a new film series, and hosting children’s storytime & crafts.

To help us create more of the programs you love in 2022, we need your help now. We’ll see you on The Avenue!

As an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization, the Hoboken Museum relies on people just like you for the majority of our funding.
